I've been in the event planning industry a little over a decade. I started as a corporate event planner. After that, I fell in love with floral design, so I decided in 2006 to enroll at the Floral Design Institute of Portland to become a licensed floral designer. I also became a certified wedding planner while training as a floral designer. I'm a licensed project manager as well.

Definitely Yes! Your Bid Day is your event. Our goal is to carry out your vision for your wedding. We are only there to assist and guide you throughout the planning process. We will provide you as much or as little help as you want.

You and I will spend time getting to know one another. We can do that in person, over lunch, or online via Instagram and Zoom, whichever you preferred. I believe having the opportunity to get to know one another or even becoming friends is a great starting point to any great relationship. From there, we can discuss your dream and vision of your event and how we can make it a reality. You will have our full attention throughout the planning process of your wedding and event. You will have unlimited access to us; emails, phone calls, text messages, and in-person meetings. Whatever works for you is what we will do. We value your time, therefore, any inquiries and questions will be responded to within 24 business hours.

A venue event coordinator and a wedding planner are two very different things. While it is true that a venue event coordinator and wedding planner will have some overlap there is still a big added value to having both a venue event coordinator and a wedding planner, which are two professionals working together. Often the venues event coordinator handles all kind of different events and clients - where your wedding planner only have one focus - and that is YOU!

Yes. We are fully licensed and insured.

At Aminah Events we only take a limited number of weddings every year - this means that we only do one wedding or event per day per wedding consultant. The coordinator you meet at your consultation is the same person you will be working with during your entire wedding planning process.

Absolutely. Your wedding planner you’ve contracted with will personally attend your event along with at least one or two assistants.

For weddings, all wedding planners and assistants will wear professional black attire.

Since a wedding easily can turn into 10, 12, and even 14 hour working day, planner meals during your reception are much appreciated. However, we are there to do a professional job and will absolutely not drink any alcohol or join your guests in the bar or on the dance floor.
